Children Mending Hearts is an organization we support because it is dedicated to empowering disadvantaged youth through educational and arts programs that build empathy and global citizenry. The kind of initiative we know very well because Max Dana is also working with disadvantaged children.

So we frequently mention the organization on the Sama Gazette, the first time was in 2009, then it was in 2010 and more recently in January 2012 for the First CMH Global Arts After School program. Next Sunday, the Children Mending Hearts 4th Annual Spring Benefit will take place in Pacific Palisades, CA.

Event details:

An afternoon applauding young outstanding heroes in our community—Bethany Hamilton and Carson Meyer—who are making waves by making a difference. In the theme of surf and sun, we will celebrate family, fun, art and citizenship. Designed for the entire family, the event will be complete with art activities, musical guests, fun interactive surfing and skating demos and games for everyone. The atmosphere will be lively yet casual and will encourage socializing, lounging, game-playing and giving back. All proceeds to benefit Children Mending Hearts, which provides global arts and education to Los Angeles’ underserved youth. Bring your entire family and join the fun!

Honorees:  Bethany Hamilton and Carson Meyer

Music sets by DJ Connor Cruise
